This Volunteer activity is designed to engage participants in the vibrant and multifaceted cultural landscape of India. Volunteer will explore how traditional and contemporary cultural elements shape daily life in rural and urban communities. Through interactive sessions, field visits, and community engagement programs, interns will develop a deeper appreciation of India's socio-cultural fabric and its influence on development, education, health, and gender roles.
Key Activities Include:
🔹 Cultural Orientation Sessions:
Learn about India's history, languages, religions, festivals, food, and regional diversity through interactive workshops and storytelling.
🔹 Community Engagement:
Participate in field visits to villages, slums, local markets, temples, schools, and cultural centers to observe and interact with diverse community members.
🔹 Festivals and Traditions:
Experience traditional Indian festivals, rituals, folk music, dance, art, and craft-making sessions to understand cultural expressions and beliefs.
🔹 Cultural Exchange Projects:
Collaborate with local youth or school groups to share ideas, conduct cultural presentations, and organize mini-events that promote intercultural dialogue.
🔹 Documentation & Reflection:
Capture your learnings through photography, journaling, blogging, or video storytelling. Reflect on cultural observations and how they relate to global development themes.
🔹 Workshops on Social Norms & Change:
Discuss how cultural values influence gender roles, education access, health behaviors, and community development—and how NGOs navigate cultural dynamics in their work.

Project Title: Mental Health, Menstrual Hygiene & Gender Equality Rights
Location: Gurgaon, Delhi & Western Uttar Pradesh
Duration: Minimum One Month

This internship project focuses on three vital issues: Mental Health, Menstrual Hygiene, and Gender Equality Rights. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in development work, field research, community engagement, advocacy, and more — while being part of real, grassroots-level impact.
Internship Roles & Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
- Conduct research on mental health, gender equality and menstrual hygiene, and economic indicators relevant to project themes.
- Assist in data collection and field surveys for impact assessment.
Fundraising & Partnerships
- Support online and offline fundraising campaigns.
- Engage with donors, CSR units, universities, schools, and global partners for collaborations.
Community Outreach & Awareness
- Organize awareness sessions in schools, orphanages, slums, and refugee camps.
- Design and implement communication campaigns for health and gender education.
Documentation & Reporting
- Create detailed reports, documentation, and presentations.
- Write articles, blogs, and informative content on WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene), human rights, and gender issues.
Media & Creative Engagement
- Participate in documentary filmmaking and photography projects (if available).
- Design posters, infographics, and marketing content for campaigns.
- Assist in proposal writing and social media management.
Advocacy & Rights-Based Work
- Support programs promoting children's and women’s rights.
- Participate in community-based education and motivational sessions.
Creative & Support Activities
- Create recycled paper crafts, greeting cards, and beadwork to support awareness and fundraising efforts.
- Conduct interviews, manage office tasks, and assist in project implementation.
Teaching & Motivation
- Teach basic academic subjects and life skills in village schools and orphan homes.
- Deliver motivational lessons to uplift and inspire marginalized youth.
