Internship In India:

Experience as an intern is an incredible way to discover India and to work for a NGO. As an intern you will be treated as an employee so it could be the way for you to have a job experience abroad and to practice the skills you’ve learnt in your studies.

Minimum Period of internship is One Month and Maximum is One Year. Also you have to respect code of conduct and the rules of the organisation.

One basic requirement for an intern is that either he or she speaks or write English, Spanish, French, Russian or Hindi. We look for people, who have a keen interest in community development, flexible in nature, creative, innovative, good team worker, show good initiative, are open-minded and willing to work in a new and challenging environment.

What are you going to do ?

As an intern you will work with us on the following programs.You are going to be involved to a project as never before in your life.

Internship Research topics are :

1. Water Sanitation & Hygiene (Menstrual Hygiene ) and How it Affects Children (Especially Girls /Women ) Health & Education.
2. Wash in School And Children Education Program Both Formal and Informal.
3. Green Earth ,Promote and Protect Environment and Documentary Film Making On Wash, Health And Education in Wash Sector.
4. Gender Equality & Health Education
5. Psychology and Mental Health Internship Program 

Internship Project Location are in seven states of India, but initially we will confined to Delhi, Gurgaon and Uttar Pradesh. 
Duration of the internship: The minimum duration of the internship is one month and maximum has no limit. Student can extend their internship as long as they like .

As a non-profit organization, Heeals strives to create a world in which all people understand, respect, and support one another irrespective of religion, caste, creed, gender and class, providing services to communities and building cross-cultural understanding. People from all walk of life lives altogether in peace & harmony.
Percentage of Internship: 20-30% of Internship time will be in travelling to school or villages or slums and communities areas and 70-80% Of Internship time will be in Office. Note: Due to summer vacation in the month of June we will not able to work with in school and communities. During this period of time we work on the program design and implementation policy.

During an internship program, you become deeply involved with local community, immersed in a new culture and a different way of life. It’s the way for Learning to make independent decisions without the comfort of falling back on your usual support network, which help in empowering, building strong leadership skills.  On their return, many intern find themselves more mature and independent, they no longer take what they have for granted, now that they have gained a new outlook on life. Which bring actual & personal growing. An intern can afford great experience in lessons of, empathy, and interpersonal conflict resolution. Learning how to debate cultural differences is a positive lesson in tolerance, compassion and appreciating different perspectives. Your experience brings change in your perception and brings a different way of thinking.

Also, as intern you come to understand the host environment on a deeper level, including the values and identity of the culture and how they differ from Western perspectives.Living at Heeals lets interns from around the world not only work together, but spend time exploring Diverse Indian Culture, Family System, Cultural Values, Heritage and Tradition as a whole, each state has a distinct flavour, while still allowing interns to explore and experience Incredible India. 

Entry Date: Internship program is flexible. Students can join Internship program from any day and date of any month.
Working days: Monday to Friday (Saturday and Sunday Is Off) and timetable is: 10:00 Am To 4:00 Pm (Both are flexible in nature and depends upon the project need and availability).

Fee: Total Program Fee Include Legal Registration Documents of Intern ,Accommodation, Food, Internet and Other Basic Facilities (Break up of the fee and facilities were mentioned in the Intern documents).
Intern can book their seat by giving One time Legal Registration Fees of US $ 199 and rest of the fee one week before joining the program. Intern will be accommodate in HEEALS office guest house.
